I just cancelled my cell phone service with Cingular/AT&T.

They just lost a lot of future revenue, because I would've been willing to stay with them if they gave me a nice deal. I was expecting them to do something to keep me as a customer, but when I called to cancel, they didn't try very hard to keep me.

They should know that it's much harder to gain a new customer than it is to retain a current customer. I guess their customer service people don't know about switching costs.

That's fine with me though. Verizon's better anyway.
