"Can I get a raw dump from you?"


At my company, a raw dump is a print-out of the original data used in our software. So when I asked this to a co-worker, it didn't raise a single eyebrow.

But don't ask me why it's called a raw dump...

    raw implies that the data from the source has not been filtered or processed in any way

    and voila, we have raw dump =)
